Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of Agniveervayu under the Agnipath Scheme. This is a great opportunity for young individuals (both male and female) who wish to join the Indian Air Force and serve the nation. Every Year Indian Airforce invited application from the eligible candidates who are interested in joining Indian Airforce. This recruitment is part of the AGNIVEERVAYU INTAKE 02/2026. Candidates will serve in the Indian Air Force for a period of four years under the Agnipath scheme. The application process is completely online and starts from 11th July 2025. The last date to apply is 31st July 2025.

✈️ What is Agniveervayu?

Agniveervayu is a part of India’s defence reform through the Agnipath scheme, launched in 2022. Under this scheme, candidates are selected to serve in the armed forces (Air Force, Army, and Navy) for a fixed term of 4 years. After completion, selected individuals may be considered for permanent enrolment based on performance.

🧑‍🎓 Eligibility Criteria

There are some basic eligibility criteria and educational qualification required for filling up the online application. 🔸 Age Limit

  • Minimum: 17.5 years

  • Maximum: 21 years

  • Candidates must be born between 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009 (both dates inclusive).

  • At the time of enrolment (if selected), the age should not exceed 21 years.

🔸 Educational Qualification

📘 For Science Group (Physics, Mathematics, and English):

  • 10+2/Intermediate with Physics, Maths, and English from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks overall and 50% in English,
    OR

  • 3-Year Engineering Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Instrumentation Technology, Information Tech, or Computer Science with 50% marks in total and 50% in English (either in diploma or in 10+2/Matric),
    OR

  • 2-Year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks overall and 50% in English (in vocational course or 10+2 level)

📘 For Non-Science Group:

  • 10+2/Intermediate in any stream (Arts, Commerce, etc.) with minimum 50% marks overall and 50% in English,
    OR

  • 2-Year Vocational Course in any subject with 50% marks in total and 50% in English (in vocational or 10+2 level)

🩺 Medical and Physical Standards

📏 Height Requirement

  • Male: Minimum 152 cm

  • Female: Minimum 152 cm

    • Relaxation: For candidates from North-East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, minimum height is 147 cm

📐 Chest

  • Males: Minimum chest circumference: 77 cm with 5 cm expansion

  • Females: Chest should be proportionate with 5 cm expansion capability

⚖️ Weight

  • Should be proportionate to age and height

👂 Hearing

  • Candidate should hear a forced whisper from 6 meters distance in each ear

🦷 Dental Health

  • Must have healthy gums, no major dental problems, and at least 14 dental points

👁️ Vision

  • Visual Standard: 6/12 in both eyes (correctable to 6/6 with glasses)

🩺 General Medical Conditions

  • Should not have any physical disability or deformity

  • Must be medically and mentally fit as per Air Force standards

🚺 Additional Medical Checks for Female Candidates

  • Gynaecological exam will be conducted

  • Must not be pregnant during selection or training

  • Any physical traits of the opposite gender may lead to disqualification
